As Democrats, we believe in a strong, respected America, helping all Americans find good jobs, rewarding hard work and maintaining fiscal discipline.
We believe in securing quality health care offering excellent education, ensuring clean air and water.
We believe in the Constitution of the United States, the Bill of Rights, freedom of speech and expression including a free press, the freedom of every person to worship God in his or her own way, the freedom from want, a secure and prosperous economy for all, freedom from fear, a secure world where no nation need fear another.
We believe in equal protection of the law for all, the right of peaceful individuals to be free from governmental intrusion in their lives, maintaining a balance of power between the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government.
We believe the great advances of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal -- Social Security, the guarantee of a safety net for all Americans when they retire, support for disabled workers and for children who lose a parent -- are what made our nation great.
